A Sanctuary Welcome!

I am often asked why I became a massage therapist. It is a fair enough question these days. Massage Therapy has become quite a popular profession and often times therapists enter the profession for the wrong reasons.
In 1999 I was injured in a car accident on an LA freeway (I was rear-ended). My accident left me with a mid-trapezius spastic spasm. In lay terms, I had a mid-back spasm that would put me on the floor writhing in pain. As a young idealist, I couldn’t bring myself to compromise by taking muscle relaxers and living in a haze. I spoke with my physician about alternative solutions to managing the pain and resolving the injury – specifically asking about massage. I was fortunate enough that the other guy’s insurance company agreed to cover massage as a treatment.

After my treatment course I knew two things:

1. I was hooked on massage! Not only did I feel better than I ever had, I didn’t have so much as a sniffle for a year. I was happy, I was healthy, I slept well every night and was energetic the next day.

2. I knew I needed to learn how to bring the same non-pharmaceutical enhancements to the lives of those around me.

In 2004 I entered the massage therapist program at Meuller College in San Diego. Later that year I relocated to Twin Falls, ID and enrolled at the Magic Valley Academy of Massage. After finishing more than 750 hours of training I returned to San Diego and worked for fitness clubs, luxury spas, local events, and the San Diego Chargers. Clients have ranged from recreational relaxation seekers, to amateur and professional athletes, to expectant mothers.

So why choose me for your massage therapist?

Because I care. I’m not a spa who will treat you once, take your payment and then forget you came by. I want to see you achieve the results you’re looking for – whether it is enhanced performance as an athlete, pain and stress management, or just a nice treat for yourself or someone you love.

I’ll be honest with you about your condition. Did you know that due to the required submission of medical information prior to your first treatment, a massage therapist is held to the same HIPPA requirements as medical staff? I’m not a physician, but if I can help you find answers I will.

My job is to work myself out of a job.

Hope to get my hands on you soon!
